Emerging Leaders – Leadership development for new managers

October 6, 2021

Mid-market companies that want to stay competitive in this tight job market know that developing their people leads to high-performing leaders, cohesive teams, and strong talent retention.

The current EDGE Emerging Leaders cohort met for the first time to learn about their Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment results and how to interpret and effectively benefit from understanding them. Over the course of the next nine months, participants will engage with each other to explore these personality preferences and the impact on communication, work relationships, and leadership, guided by Ron BowerBrickpath Group.

Shout-outs to Aexcel Corporation, AtNetPlus, Becker Pumps, Duramax Marine LLC, Evergreen Batteries, Excelas, Hinkley, Libra Industries, Lumitex, Main Street Gourmet, Pandata LLC, Stainless Specialties, and TransImpact for enrolling their early-career managers in EDGE Emerging Leaders.

About EDGE Emerging Leaders: The EDGE Emerging Leaders Series is for new leaders who are in the first-time role of supervising others or preparing for this type of role. This group is also for early-career leaders who may not have had formal training and want to sharpen their leadership skills. The program, composed of eight half-day sessions, starts with each participant taking the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment. We use this assessment throughout the program to help everyone gain an understanding of their personality preferences and how that impacts communications, work relationships and leadership.
