EDGE Fellows Presentation & Reception

Join us for the Annual EDGE Fellows Presentation & Reception on Tuesday, August 2nd at 3:30 PM.  All are welcome.  Register here.

Come meet, support, and engage with EDGE Fellows and mentors as well as leaders from area businesses and universities.  Graduate-level students from Case Western Reserve, John Carroll, The Ohio State University, Penn State University and Carnegie Mellon will share summaries of what they have learned through their research efforts this summer to help validate ideas and drive new business growth for Northeast Ohio companies.  See Class 2022.

What:       Quick pitch presentations on new business opportunities for area companies. 
                   Questions welcomed; meet students and company leaders.
When:      Tuesday, August 2nd (3:30 – 5:30 p.m.)

  •  Meet and Greet: 3:30 – 4:00 p.m.
  • Program and Presentations: 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., with short reception to follow.

                   Parking is free; Enter through door on the west of the building.

                  Note: Those not vaccinated are encouraged to wear masks at the event.

Who:       EDGE Fellows Summer Intern Program – Select graduate-level students (Class 2022)

Impact:   Sparking profitable business growth

  •  50+% of the projects studied have generated new revenue for NE Ohio.
  • Nearly 60% of the students choose to stay and work in the area after graduation.

Market Studies Addressing:
Emerging EV market; operating in the metaverse; identifying and attracting underserved workers; assessing market channels for custom-designed paper products, and determining market need/business strategy for a sensor product which measures sweat loss.

Additionally, the program provides students with a truly unique consulting experience, connecting area companies with top talent from area universities and skilled business mentors. Started in 2007, the EDGE Fellows Program has explored 103 project ideas and several projects led to multi-million-dollar business ventures.
